Insights into Pre-1847 Utah - How the Shoshone people traveled to hunt, gather, and what types of structures they used in different seasons”
Rios learned the traditional skills of tanning hides, beading, and feather work from his parents and relatives in Northern Utah and later studied Native arts in classes at the Institute for American Indian Art in Santa Fe. For years, he has operated a small trading post in Perry, Utah where he crafts traditional clothing and accessories known as regalia.  For the last few years he has been teaching and working with Northern Ute artist Nino Reyos.

Prior to this he served as Director of the Utah Historical Society, as chair of the L. Tom Perry Special Collections  Library at BYU, and was employed three different times—over a 30 year period—for the LDS Church’s History Department. He is also the producer and host of the podcast Speak Your Piece: A Podcast About Utah’s History  and the history blog Salt Lake West Side Stories.

Dr. Plewe is an associate professor of Geography at Brigham Young University, where he teaches cartography and geographic information systems, and studies the historical geography of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Fox is the owner of Fox’s Words and Images in Salt Lake City a company that deals in rare documents, books and photographs in Mormon & United States History. Mr. Fox has dedicated over twenty years to government service in positions either elected or appointed. Mr. Fox has served at the California Capitol as principal minority consultant to the Senate Committee on Finance; Chief Assistant to the Republican Whip; Senate Republican Leader; Western States Director of Public Affairs for American Medical International; volunteer to the White House Advance office and U.S. State Department Protocol Office; consultant to the Leadership Committee of the Utah Legislature; member of the Governor-elect's transition team over the Public Services Commission; Delegate to the Republican National Conventions; Delegation Executive Director; member of the United States Electoral College; Alternate Presidential Elector; President of the Republican Party’s Elephant Club; member of the State party’s executive committee representing the 2nd Congressional District; member of the Republican State Central Committee; State Executive Director of the George W. CLIVE ROMNEY
DINNER ENTERTAINMENT

Clive has produced more than 135 albums, thousands of other recordings, and has performed more than 4,700 times. He engineers his own recordings and has produced 40 episodes of Histories of the Hymns and 40 of Music with a Message for The Mormon Channel, and is currently producing thirty Legacy Series Art Book/CDs, and numerous other audio and video recordings for Utah Pioneer Heritage Arts. He  has composed and written more than 500 published works including the new Nauvoo Visitors’ Center show High Hopes and Riverboats. Clive has taught at Brigham Young University, Salt Lake Community College and the University of Utah Extension Division. He plays guitar, bass, mandolin, banjo, accordion, percussion, dan tranh, charango, bodhran, various other ethnic instruments, and “just enough piano to get into trouble.” As the storyteller, Clive is a passionate purveyor of pioneer portrayals in story and song, with two storytelling DVDs entitled Stories From the Mormon Pioneer National Heritage Area, Volumes 1&2. He recently was a featured at the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival, The Old Capitol Arts & Living History Festival, and the Panguitch Lake Fall Festival. Clive has narrated two documentary films, Great Salt Lake: Utah’s Sanctuary for BYUtv, and The Jonathan Heaton Story for Judd Films.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints commissioned Richard Turley to write a new biography of the Prophet Joseph Smith.  The book will be called “Joseph the Prophet.” The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints commissioned Richard Turley to write a new biography of the Prophet Joseph Smith.  The book will be called “Joseph the Prophet.”  Richard is the former Assistant Church Historian and Recorder.   He has written more than 20 books, served as the managing director of the Church Historical Department when the Joseph Smith Papers were launched in June 2001 and served as chair of the project’s editorial board, as well as a volume editor.   He was managing director of the Family History Department when FamilySearch was launched and later served as managing director of the Church’s Public Affairs and Communication Departments.  He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the American Historical Association's Herbert Feis Award and the Historic Preservation Medal from the Daughters of the American Revolution.
